I recently, last week, had lunch on a 952 mile RJ flight in a CR7 and we had only one choice, a cold chicken salad, and room temp nuts. That was from Phoenix to Eugene.

ETA, the week prior, reversing the route, EUG-PHX, at the same meal time (11:50am departure from EUG IIRC) and on the same type aircraft, there was no lunch service at all, just a snack basket. Perhaps that was a catering error or the aircraft didn't come from a location that had catering for a double cater. I don't recall which station the aircraft arrived from.
