I did not request an upgrade but it showed up in my reservation a couple of days before (always a sign of an engaged GM).

As for the breakfast situation, they told me that it wasn't included so I used the $10 plat gift for breakfast.

Frankly, the check-in agent was pretty confused. She didn't seem to recognize that I was a plat premier or even a platinum, I had to tell her about the plat gift, and she told me she had never heard of late checkouts which seemed strange -- particularly since I was checking out on a Sunday and I can't imagine they were that busy on a Sunday night. I suppose they must be classifying as a resort and not providing breakfast or late checkouts.
