AA has gone back to previous rule, if you waitlist before 21 days of flight, you will not be charged expedite fee even if your u/g clears within 24hrs.

Guess they realized the un-fairness of forcing expedite fees for all late clearing u/g's.

I cleared a ZRH-DFW segment 7 days prior to flight, no $50 fee, Plat CSR adviced on the rule change.
