There is a nifty way to get your AA number in on LHR-SCQ - use the Finnair website and enter the PNR there, and edit the data. Works for lots of OW carriers.

Now, the bigger question for me is whether you'll be able to get it changed back to the IB+ number once you're underway. I admittedly have no clue on that front... :-/
