I've had a few erroneous minibar charges over the years at different properties and the hotels have always credited me when I've called to complain.

Years ago, when we would bring our kids to the La Quinta resort in the California desert, I brought duct tape and taped the minibar shut to keep the kids out, knowing that minibar mischarges were common there.
