Something about the data being used for sensitive business purposes and that its commercially important, something such guff like that. I could of course be very very wrong, i'll check it tomorow.
Also, it's not really data, but a business algorithm. BA are probably happy to provide members with all the personal data they hold, including revenue events and flights taken, vip/cip status, etc. But if a real-time calculation mangles all that data into a single number, the figure itself isn't a part of the member records the company is keeping.
This might be a bit of a grey area, though, since the computational cost of such a real time calculation might be prohibitively high. So it's likely that even though the number is completely derivable from other data, it is still stored in a materialized form.
