I would appreciate any advice on this issue. My 23 year old daughter rented an SUV in PHX recently and backed into a rock, busting a brake light and putting a small dent in the back bumper of the car.

She was running late for her return flight and was told Thrifty would be sending her a bill for the damages. <Gulp!>

Any idea on what she might expect to pay? She had declined the insurance option because she's covered at home under State Farm, however the Thrifty rental agent in PHX had told her her insurance would not cover any damages when she rented the car. Is this true?
