OK..has this been settled? I just got off the phone with a Marriot rep that stated that the transfer of points from SPG to Marriot is a qualifying activity and resets the clock 2 years. My account shows this to be true as I transferred points from SPG to Marriot on 5/29/17.

From My account website:

"The date of your last qualifying activity was 05/29/17:

Your account will remain active and points won’t expire as long as you stay or use some of your points by 05/29/19."

However, the terms clearly state this is not the case:

"Member Account Activity. Transferring points between Programs (i) will constitute activity for purposes of remaining active in the SPG Program, and (ii) will not count as qualified activity for purposes of keeping your points active in the Rewards Program."

and:

The following activities do not count toward maintaining an active status in the Marriott Rewards® program:

-Gifting or transferring points
-Receiving points as a gift or transfer

So which is it?
