Unless you have a group booking code. If just booking as 2 separate pnrs, I don't think it is a group booking.
So the group agent is able to make an award booking for 9 on a single PNR yet since its not for 10 its not a group booking. Remember its award tkts so there isnt any fare basis to indicate a group booking. Just not sure if a group agent books it if will not be coded as a group. Years ago they were CO codes that you were able to use and geta cheaper fare even for just 1 person yet when things hit the fan , no one was able to help me during Irrops since it was offically a group fare
I still would want a note saying all 9 get their 1st bag free, hate to deal with it at the airport and if r/t for all thats 2x the trouble, if in fact a group agent made the res even using miles
