Obviously Marriott can track it internally. But I'm starting to wonder WHY you're so concerned that the associate (who presumably gave you the cert in the first place) can track your use of the cert(s) & why you're not asking him/her these questions. Please explain specifically your concern, so we can better address your question. Or explain why you're not asking the associate. But your asking us vs. your associate friend does raise some red flags.
PS - If you're not entitled to use the cert or if you use it past its expiration date, be prepared to pay rack rate. Also, this may or may not matter to you but you don't get MAR nights credit on family/friends rate.
Cheers.
I'm concerned because the associate that gave me the discount knew I'll be going to California, but she doesn't know that my family also wanted to go to Florida later on. It's a family trip so I don't want invite her and that's why I'm concerning if she will find out through her employee portal.
