Hi FlyerTalk- I'm a new grad who is about to start a full time job this August, but will be flying to both Philadelphia and the California-area fairly often. Interested in what advice you guys can give.
1. What is most important to you in a frequent flyer program (FFP)?
upgrades, priority services, baggage allowance, good award redemption rates, better award access, lounge access, etc.
At the end of the day, I'm really just looking to save money, so I guess that means I care most about "good award redemption rates" (I'm not sure what "award access" is).
2. How many miles do you usually fly each year? How many flights/sectors?
less than 25000 miles, 50000+ miles and 20-25 flights, etc.
Probably around 30,000 - 40,000 miles, with 6-8 round trip flights, mostly from SEA - PHL.
3. What fare class do you usually buy?
first, business, premium economy, economy
Economy
4. Are you able to choose your airlines and/or class of service? Do you travel for work and/or pleasure?
Entirely pleasure
5. Which routes do you fly most often?
transatlantic, domestic USA, intra-Asia, etc.
Domestic USA
6. What is your home airport?
SEA
7. Do you have status in any FFP? What is it? How miles do you have banked in each FFP, if any?
No
8. What are your preferred airlines, if any?
No real preferred airlines, just whatever is cheapest.
