Err, the whole tenor of your first post is that TPA is more of a business destination and less of a leisure destination than we think...

I think TPA is an odd flight from Gatwick network. We were told by experts that BA's Gatwick network is more leisure orientated. But TPA is more of a business destination for domestic USA, and always enjoys a higher fare compare to likes of FLL and MCO. Internationally TPA may still be a VFR heavy routes, but the same can be said to many USA secondary routes besides LAS and MCO.
