Has any one had any recent experiences with this? I just called in an avios upgrade.
Unlike the OP, my points were withdrawn within an hour of the phone call, but the flight has not been ticketed after 3 days.

I have a PNR, avios withdrawn but no 125-...

Is it still the case in 2017 that I have to wait til a couple days before departure to be ticketed? Side note, i cannot choose/pay for seats until I have a ticket, so this seems suboptimal.
