Typically, but not always. Sometimes it's a white sauce that is extremely disgusting. I always ask if it's a red sauce......and sometimes I get berated by the flight attendant because my asking the color of the sauce slows the service.
Ha! Good point, on my upcoming LHR flight I better double-check on the sauce color. A white gloppy mess is even less appetizing than the bland red sauce.
