Thought I would revive this thread to ask if PEK-SFO on Air China is always the 747-800 or does it go back to the older 747 sometimes. I am thinking of booking January 15, 2018 and it just says 747....
All B747-400's are gone. The worst thing that can happen is a downgrade to B777-300 or B787-900 - seats in C are identical in all these aircraft (only Airbus seats are different, but still fully flat - IMHO even more comfortable).
