BAFT never ceases to disappoint.
It isn't clear whether some of you haven't read the blog in full or if you're just heartless, hardened by these straitened times of BoB and the trench war to get the F amuse-bouche back.
Firstly, it's hardly a lengthy moan. It's a fairly brief post in which the young man clearly accepts the chief reason he ended up in trouble was because of his own misadventure. He further says that he was an "upset teenage passenger". His twitter handle is on the blog and it's clear he is a teenager.
It seems pretty obvious he's an enthusiast who wanted to fly on a 767, and is probably on a tight budget. So, £60 extra might have meant his plans were scuppered, and he may have had no compelling reason to be in EDI other than he was going for the ride.
I think the comments about how easy and cheap it is to get to EDI by train are wide of the mark - I remember being a very austere teenager and even Ryanair was a treat, and I didn't have the luxury of a huge credit card limit to act as my insurance.
He's just a naive kid who made a mistake. We were all like that once.
Be nicer please.
