I wouldn't give this a second thought - unless you're bringing something that's obviously full of liquid that will be an issue at security, no one from US immigration or customs is going to care about your meat sandwich, prepared salad or take-out from Swiss chalet.
Note that meat, fish, cheese, fruits and vegetables are all admissible with few exceptions, especially with Canadian origin, you just need to declare them. Anything processed or packaged is even less of an issue. If you have Nexus, the welcome package includes a very detailed breakdown of what is admissible or not and from where.
I just returned to the USA from Tokyo with a huge shopping bag full of my groceries including bags of rice, packages of beef curry, pharmacy stuff and pastries and had no problem at all on entry, they just needed to be declared.
