You can't have nexxus and global entry simultaneously
When you apply for nexxus if essentially nullifies your global entry, but includes 100% of the features.
If you renew your global entry, your nexxus will become void as the global entry will override it.
So, if you are like me, obtained global entry and then obtained nexxus a year or so later, basically ignore your global entry dates as they are meaningless, just renew your nexxus as it comes due and it cover 100% of everything that was in global entry.

My account says Trusted Traveler. per the FAQ, I was looking for a renew button and did not have that. Seems odd that one trumps the other as they appear to be different programs, though NEXUS has greater ID potential with the iris scan. Though I have yet to pass through a port to get the iris scan. And as previously mentioned, it does seem counter-intuitive. I would expect GE to be more encompassing, but the argument of 2 countries makes sense.
