It really depends on how easy you can adjust your jetlag and whether you can sleep on the plane.

For me personally, 777 on ex LHR and A380 ex HKG, as 777 arrives late afternoon in HKG, by the time I get to the hotel and sorted things out, it will be evening already and just need to stay up for another hour or two then can go straight to bed and change to HKG time.

On the way back it both arrives early morning, so not too much difference

p.s on 380 upper deck, there isn't much space for overhead lockers to put hand luggage in.
