I've been stuck comparing NYC-BRU (which is my intended destination) between *A JV (SN,LH,UA) and Skyteam. Both EWR and JFK to BRU are $4k vs. now $8k for the DL flight. DL still has and J=9 on the flights I'm looking for (and multiple Z and I) on expertflyer.

I was willing to fly to AMS or CDG and take a train to BRU, but none of those destinations got me to have DL to price lower than *A; hence my question on this board if this was something more structural for the summer. E.g., *A feeling UA hit (I don't think so), or different pricing strategy (try to fill up vs. keep higher avg. fare.
Comparing SN, UA, and DL non-stop on JFK/EWR-BRU, I see all three pricing out to the exact same $7073.26 for 2-week advance roundtrip without a Sat night stay. Sorry, not seeing any $4K fares on *A on the non-stop's. You can get under $4K by connecting on TAP in LIS, but again, that's apples and oranges. You can also get under $4K on Skyteam by flying Aeroflot or Air Europa with a connection. How is that any different?
