switch to MP, burn AP miles now

I joined MP several years ago. Every flight is on *A carrier - so my question is whether AC MLLs will continue to be accessible to *A Gold members?

I had a substantial AP account due to credit cards. I burned most of it within days of the announcement on CA family travel i.e. I figured redemptions would dry up pretty quick.

I am intrigued by two cc issues:
- what will be the impact on the TD Aeroplan VISA? Still being marketed for AP benefits - but - my sources suggest many clients are questioning this benefit?
- how likely is it that AMEX will announce (before 2018?) its participation in the new AC loyalty program? (Seems to me that would be a game changer!)
