5/24 counts the bank cards that appear on your credit report with an "opened on" date in the past 24 months. If a (non-Chase) card does not appear on your credit report (for example, most business cards don't), then it doesn't count, even if a pull for was done for that card.
Just to clarify they are actual opened credit card a/c's. I am leaning towards having DW go ahead and leverage the in branch approval as she will be 0/24 in march 2018 with most new a/c falling out of 5/24 by Jan/Feb timeframe. I am thinking of foregoing the FNBO travelite as I already have it though the no AF sweet $100 airline credit is hard to let go (for as long as it may last).
