***Newer Update - Finally resolved after going through the ASA, still not sure how I feel about the global customer service, but at least my dealings with people in NZ have been positive.

**New Update - no faith in accor customer service for Best Rate Guarantees**

Hi,

I'm a first time poster here, but have just had the worst possible customer service from the accor reservation office.

I'm an accor plus platinum member and tried to enact their best rate guarantee via a phone call having read numerous horror stories.

The phone call started courteous, but quickly turned very sour after the customer service representative checked amoma.com with a rate about $200 cheaper than accor. He initially tried to make me feel like an imbecile, telling me that I had the wrong dates or hotel as he could not find the price I was talking about (which I had right in front of me with the correct dates). He then found the price I was talking about, but then told me that the advertised 'superior double room' does not exist, and that they only have a superior room with king size bed. I calmly tried to explain to him that in hotel terminology a 'double room' means a room for a couple which can be a queen or king size bed, but he then proceeded to yell at me and say that a double room means a double bed. He also refused to hand me over to his supervisor or someone with a better grasp of English.

Overall I have been left very disappointed by this experience!
