Just a reminder that several years ago a UA FA suffered a broken neck due to turbulence. A few months after that I talked with an FA who had been on that flight. He said that many passengers don't realize that turbulence is up and down, not sideways much of the time and that being slammed into the ceiling is quite dangerous.
