Just saw this thread. Flying the CI 744 in Sep BKK-TPE. I called CI and got myself seated in the UD in 11 J/K with the SO. I wanted to give her the UD experience.

Reading this thread appears that UD may have J hard product with Y food. Is the J food that much better in CI for a 3.5 hr flight?

Appears on the CI website they are not selling F seats, so should I call and try to get one of the F seats instead? Will that wow my SO vs the UD?
