Yesterday (and on Monday) I had several glasses of the rosé champagne on the ground at DOH while waiting for the economy passengers to take their seats.

On the other side of the aircraft a gentleman was politely told that his request for champagne could not be accommodated until take off for legal reasons.

My interpretation is that it depends on the colour of the beverage.
