1) Doubt it. But I'm not the project manger for the renovation work!
2) Didn't eat close to the hotel.
3) This is in a quiet neighborhood. So if local life is your thing, you are in for a great time. Everything is but a short tram ride away (or a not-very-far walk).
4) Grocery store.
5) I'd suggest getting an
I AM AMSTERDAM card.
6) Breakfast felt fairly high quality, but not tons of options.
