I'm thinking about switching to BR55 and there are 11 blocked rows on the flight I'm interested. How does BR handles assigning blocked seats to family? I have part of 4 and I like to seat together. BTW flight appears to open in Y (C9 J9 D9 K9 L9 T9 P9 Y9 B9 M9 H9 Q9 S9 W9 V0) and BR released the award seats to UA recently.

Put in a request for your ticket and specifically state that it is a family that wants to sit together. Blocked rows will appear for selection during OLCI, except for bulkhead/exit rows. They generally will grant requests prior to check-in so check before heading to the airport if you don't do OLCI. If not, at check-in, inquire with them.
