Note that even doing online check in does not allow you to choose certain blocked row like the emergency exit row and the bulkhead row in Elite. It seems to be a great problem that the people in Elite and Economy have.
I'm thinking about switching to BR55 and there are 11 blocked rows on the flight I'm interested. How does BR handles assigning blocked seats to family? I have part of 4 and I like to seat together. BTW flight appears to open in Y (C9 J9 D9 K9 L9 T9 P9 Y9 B9 M9 H9 Q9 S9 W9 V0) and BR released the award seats to UA recently.
Thanks,
