Another LRM is in Shanghai. I wonder whether it will switch to LC too.
BTW, is the Duxton Club an existing hotel too? IIRC there are other Duxton properties in Singapore.
1. I think Le Méridien as a brand has been trying to unify its portfolio through renovations to bring all hotels into their signature mid-century modern aesthetic, incorporating brand elements like the Le Méridien Hub and coffee/Sparkling/Éclair features and weeding out the "Royal" title since that was a leftover from the pre-Starwood days to denote flagship LM hotels [similar to Sheraton Grand's relation to Sheraton]. Le Royal Méridien Hamburg, for example, has since rebranded to Le Méridien Hamburg and the PA is moving to the Luxury Collection, so that leaves us with LRM properties in Shanghai, Chennai, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Dubai and Abu Dhabi hotels are institutions in those cities so it'll be interesting to see if they get renamed [both have been very well-renovated], Chennai is a total dump [surprised they haven't pushed renovations there harder] and the Shanghai hotel was due for a 'spectacular' renovation but I'm not sure what's happening on that front...
2. The Duxton Club will be a conversion of two separate heritage buildings, one of which is the former Duxton Hotel.
