Beware Budget transponder charges

I'm so livid at Budget. Picked up a car at MCO today. I'm here several times a year but have always rented with Alamo. Turned off transponder. Go through first toll booth to pay and cashier tells me the Sunpass already got it. I paid anyway and got a receipt. Same thing with every single toll. I continued paying them and getting receipts despite sunpass getting the toll.

Call to Budget gets rerouted 4 times. After 15 minutes of phone menu, agent tells me I'll have to deal with the toll company. WTH? After expressing my further frustration, he assures me that he will take care of it. I'm not optimistic. What's irritating is that I have to waste time in a phone menu and with multiple people to NOT be charged for something I should not be charged for in the first place.

Looks like nothing has changed with this practice for Budget. I will never rent from them.
