It always makes sense to have the highest status possible of the FFP of your prefered airline. I. e. the irrop handling provided by LH for SEN/HON on LH flights belongs to the best in airline business.

Of course a *A Gold is better than a FTL at LH. But if you have no problems to get the SEN and LH is your prefered airline, you should go for it.

Like every FFP M&M has pro and cons and if you know the cons, you get a very high value for your miles.
