In response to Graybeardy....

when Alaska Airlines sent me the promotion for the Bank of America visa card (formerly Seabank if I remember correctly) there was no mention of a 'temporary' promotion regarding the 2 Boardroom passes. The promotion was for 2 first class upgrades (transferable) 2 boardroom passes, and a $50 companion certificate every year upon renewal. I guess somewhere in the fine print there was a provision to change the rules... and that's what they did.

But back to my original question.. seeing how the benefits for paying the $75 bucks to renew the visa have been cut dramatically... is there a better visa promotion available for building up AK air miles and benefits? IF not... maybe it is just time to consider changing to a no annual fee visa and forget the promotion all-to-gether?
