I was wondering if anyone else is as disappointed as I am in the changes to the Alaska Airlines Visa program. This year they are offering 2 first class upgrades like they have in the past...but the upgrades are non-transferrable and in my case they can only be used by me or my spouse. Heck - my children can't even use them let alone a friend or relative! Also - Ak Air used to offer 2 Boardroom passes... these have been eliminated from the program. They still offer the $50 companion ticket... but I suppose that I should read the fine print to see what additional restrictions now apply. I am really starting to wonder why I should pay the hefty annual fee for this visa when it is unlikely that I will use any of the benefits. Has anyone else found a better credit card offer for people who regularily fly Alaska Airlines?
