UA and The Last Frontier (Alaska)

So I've lived in Alaska for a good while now and for the life of me can't understand why United doesn't have more flight to Alaska. I know they up the capacity during the summer but during the fall, winter, and spring months there are only 2 flights a day, 1 from Denver and 1 from Chicago. While Alaska and Delta have numerous flights per day and are always full. Something has got to give. And now a flight I have to JAX in November has a schedule change because it looks like they are going to discontinue service through Chicago. WHAT GIVES!!!! CO use to have service through Seattle which I loved because if I was ever in Y it was only a 3hr flight which isn't bad. but the 5:30hr to Denver and the 6hr to Chicago is a little much for me in Y. I normally only fly UA but it is becoming very hard not to fly Delta or Alaska for have more options and normally the price is cheaper.
