After many years of walking past the barber shop in Terminal C near gate 17, I stopped in for a much needed cut. As great as the haircut was, the conversation with the two barbers was even more enjoyable, particularly when waiting my turn why three young men getting shaved before boot camp.
Sadly however, they said that the shop will be closing in August to make way for yet another restaurant. Pappacito's is moving in close by, and the lady thought their area would be for an Italian restaurant. She told me they were on a local news show (TV 8 ?) two weeks ago since they were one of the last tenants dating to the 80s (maybe 70s).
I'm all for upgrading the terminal, particularly improving upon the thirty year old small tile floor, but it's a real shame that a small space can't be carved out for this very important amenity at a nominal rent.
I agree. Would love to know more about this.
