You will see improved performance at higher rpm, but, if you live your life a quarter mile at a time and can only count 0-60 then you will understand.

Agree, since the start of 2017 I've seen more hybrids than ever. Even more then the Sonatas few years back.
But we're talking about rental cars and as far as I know National or anybody else doesn't order the fusion in the sport trim so this talk is moot. I was also just talking about the ecoboost i4 by itself and not comparing it to a V6 or anything else. With its 245 horsepower and 250+ torque pulling a Ford fusion it's decently fast for what it is.
