Yes, but the Saudis and Emiratis are lobbying hard in D.C. for the US Admin To pull the US military presence from Qatar. And it didn't start this month -- the effort was already in play during and before the US President was in Saudi Arabia last month.

Punishing QR isn't out of the question, even with the air base in Qatar. The excuse to want to punish Qatar but not the Saudis and Emiratis is a bad excuse, but it will be used; it's just to be seen how successful it is.
