Even discounting artful hyperbole, that's a preposterous interpretation of the situation.

As it's likely to render prospective passengers apprehensive of flying QR, it needs to be countered. So thank you for the photos!

sorry to be tiresome, but again - getting one of those few "more private seats" depends on your good fortune in BA's seating lottery and/or willingness to pay a hefty fee for seat reservation. Otherwise you risk being more exposed than on QR - and even run the risk of being in one of the two intimate centre seats with a stranger bedding down next to you.
I appologise that I used the word practically to indicate in a colloquial way that this wasn't actually a double bed and you can be as tiresome as you like (providing posts are within the rules).

I'm afraid I disagree, no matter what seat you get assigned on BA, it is as or more private than the equivalent seat on the 777 QR. Aisle seats are not as private as window seats in both situations, but with BA, the ability to use a full divider IMHO is a distinct advantage The other advantages to my tastes are a closer IFE screen. Yes the IFE does also have more options for my taste, but that is to be expected given I'm British as is the carrier and I wouldn't argue with someone who preferred QR's IFE, particularly if they like Bollywood productions.

QR's seat advantages are the increased number of cubby holes. Disadvantages other than the lack of privacy are the more ergonomics of the seat rest angulation to the bottom of head rest if you are over 170cm which in my experience means you can't ungulate the sides of the head rest as your shoulders girdle obstructs. I also found the mattress uncomfortable to sleep on, although I do note that on some flights they provide a topper to overcome this and QR would do well to ensure this was consistant on all of its flights.

The in-seat power is woeful on both. I won't comment on catering or service as I'm sure we will disagree on these elements and have discussed them previously; but again that demonstrates it really is a matter of taste on these matters.
