Absolutely true. It's pretty much universally agreed on the UA forum that SQ offers a much better overall product.
I would note though that while UA has been making record profits, SQ just posted a loss.

But no *A accrual for the VX/B6 segments, which is a real disincentive for some of us. I really wish UA and SQ would start codesharing in earnest. Would be nice for connections at both ends (US and SIN).
