Hello.

Has anyone had experience taking advantage of the 144 TWOV flying out of LAX on Delta? We both have US passports

We're flying LAX-PVG-BKK and then BKK-ICN-DTW-NYC. We will fly into Shanghai on Delta and will be there for 27 hours before flying onward to BKK on Shanghai Airlines. We have confirmed seats on the the trip out of PVG.

I've read that some passengers have had issues with boarding without a Visa in the US. I called Delta yesterday to put a note on our account about the 144 TWOV and they were unaware and said it was a max of 24 hours and to check with the Chinese Consulate. I went to the Consulate today and confirmed we do not need a Visa. I called Delta again and explained what I was told, they put a note on my account but now am weary that we will have issues at the airport when trying to check-in and board.

Has anyone had issues with Delta at LAX trying to use the 144 TWOV?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
