Having done a BA booking for 19 we had the option of a group booking of flights or as a BA holiday. Group booking prices were more expensive than a holiday booking. The main advantage with group bookings is that you don't need to confirm passengers until nearer the time. However don't think any status benefits apply (including avios?)

Ended up calling and booking across three separate PNRs as needed to have enough seats in each fare bucket. On the phone they could see this unlike online.
