Well, there is a tiny bit of good news in there for SQ.
UA is discontinuing their 5th Freedoms. No more HKG-SIN among others. So SQ will likely raise prices on ticket where AC or UA funnel pax for connections. Then those who look at the prices might decide to split the tickets and fly one of the LCCs ex-HKG for eg.
