Sounds to me like she's just making the obvious point that if people bring in more guests to the UC then the costs will go up, and that will be passed on to UC members.

but the membership is priced based on the assumption that members will bring guests X% of the time as it is, so your generosity will have only the smallest effect on overall costs.

Rest assured, if UA determines this to be a problem it will change the UC policy somehow.
