Austrian Delayed Baggage Compensation Question

So here is my situation and I'm going to do my best to keep this as brief as possible.

I recently traveled on vacation from EWR (UA) > TXL (OS) > KRK (OS). When I arrived in Krakow, my bag wasn't there. I reported the issue on-site with a total time wasted of an hour between waiting for the bag and getting a form filled out.

Anyway, I got back to my place and I called United and they deferred me to Austrian. I called Austrian and specifically asked them what their policies were on reimbursements and they flatly told me they had no uniform policies to share with me and the best thing I could do is to fill out the form on the website for potential compensation. I tried reaching out to them on social media and got the same response. I filled out the form but there was nothing on their website that really explained what was eligible for reimbursement and of course, you don't get an immediate response.

So I place several more calls over the next day trying to get answers and finally they tell me it will be delivered late the next day. So basically, I was without the luggage for 30ish hours. To my detriment, I didn't really buy much of anything. I wanted to, but I had no sense of what would be reimbursed because Austrian was so evasive. I didn't know about the conventions and other things. I finally heard back from their "Feedback" team and they said they would be happy to reimburse expenses occurred if I send them receipts. I didn't get that response until 9 days later. I thought the whole situation was very poorly handled.

So my question is...do I have any recourse? Should I ask for something specific? Truthfully, I was more irked about all of the wasted time trying to track down the bag during my limited vacation time. I'm sure they don't care and I'm sure that's not quantifiable to them as well but curious what you think.
