They've finally demolished the large and loud "Beer Club" next to this hotel, and begun construction that will eliminate the city views from the hotel. The plan (which here in Vietnam, all plans are subject to change so don't hold your breath) is for 3 towers of 40 stories, one to the South (left when facing front), West (behind), and Southwest (behind to the left). I have not seen any reports on tenants but the assumption would be office space at this point. If all three are completed, I believe they will be taller than this hotel and will also mean the only good views will be to the river. In the mean time, you might start to get some additional construction noise (besides the road work for the subway station on the corner). But as said, plans here change often, so maybe the towers will be shorter than planned or will take many years to complete, you never know.
