There are several things going on here - be careful you don't miss one or mix them up and preclude the possibility of a successful outcome by improperly addressing each one.
Don't mix up the customer service complaint process and the appeal of GE with the underlying and main problem, being cited for failure to declare.
If you don't get the failure to declare main problem resolved it is very unlikely to get GE back. That has to be appealed by exactly following the administrative process - and bureaucrats love to kick these things for even minor errors.
As Often1 noted - appealing the failure to declare has a relatively short window in which one can appeal - depending upon circumstances it might be as little as only 30 days.
