Well, this is annoying to read. I was on a domestic US flight in March which had 'random' TSA gate screening for whatever reason.
One TSA officer, who was a very gentle and softly spoken woman, approached a few people waiting and chatted to us. I spoke to her for a while, and came away from it thinking that there are some really nice TSA officers out there (which, of course, there are).
But no. She was probably one of these.
TSA BDO's do no better than guessing, equal to any other person. But, if they have any skills in interrogations, and that is exactly what TSA is doing, the victim shouldn't know they were interrogated.
