how far in advance did you schedule pickup?

did you ask re peanut sauce?

how did food price compare to other upscale, and quality compare to local?
(a number of years ago some here reported aman was less than FS bali)
Pickup was scheduled as soon as I knew the details, though the airport return was scheduled the day before so I imagine no real urgency to schedule as they seem to have a fleet of 8 or so vehicles

The peanut allergy was discussed before arrival and Ernst assured us it had been discussed in morning briefings. Not sure where the ball was dropped but it wasn't the biggest deal because a) im not allergic and I was the one that ordered b) the SO is not deathly allergic, rather gets an itchy mouth so Benadryl does the trick and c) didn't have an issue the rest of the stay so we assume it was a fluke. Regardless, we did discuss it with management in passing but it wasn't a huge deal

Standard mains currently seem to be roughly anywhere from 20-35 usd with lobster dishes more. Very high quality so we were ok with pricing. Alcohol is the real budget killer but that is largely due to taxes

Quality better than Chedi Club for not much more. We found Chedi a bit bland. Didn't stay or eat at FS so we don't know but imagine it's Aman price or more expensive for less quality
Obviously local warungs are cheapest and most authentic but quality and hygiene can be hit or miss

we kicked off our first Amans in Bali also (technically Amandari then Amankila) and it's easy to get hooked (and quite expensive)!

Thanks
Amans are indeed an expensive habit so we have to tread lightly. Hopefully some careful planning and finding free night promos will lessen the pain
