T/A booking: Outbound Flown, Return Not Ticketed Yet

A few weeks ago, after paying to reserve seats on the LHR-EWR leg of our LHR-EWR-JFK-LHR trip (odd routing and not something I would personally choose, but it's a family holiday and price/timing overrode routing in the priorities!), I noticed that the return JFK-LHR leg wouldn't even let me view the seat-map, stating that seating was only available at check-in.

Calls to both the T/A and BA followed, and I was told by BA that the return leg would be available to pre-book following the outbound leg after the booking was transferred to BA - the return leg also wasn't ticketed at this point either.

After flying BA185 yesterday, I can't see the flight credited as either Avios or TP, and the MMB seat-choice screen also doesn't show the leg as "flown", same message for the seat-selection screen, and still no ticket number for any of us.

Now, all of this could be related to the IT issues and I really don't want to waste my time on the phone with BA who - frankly - have more important people to answer calls from (i.e. people chasing refunds and rebookings following the IT issues), but is this something to be concerned about?

Having not booked via a T/A other than Expedia before, I'm not sure if this is normal or not - the trip was booked via TravelUp - who have less-than-stellar reviews but only when booking name changes are made.
